TO SEE YOUR DOCTOR

Appointments - 293800
Consultations are by appointment only and can be arranged at reception desk or by telephone. Appointments are normally allocated at 10-minute intervals. If you feel you need more than 10 minutes with the GP or Nurse, please ask the receptionist/telephonist for a double appointment. This will prevent surgeries running late.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO BE ON TIME FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. IF YOU ARE LATE YOU MAY NOT BE SEEN.

Patients who wish to see a specific doctor will be accommodated wherever possible. However, patients should note that a request for an appointment with a specific doctor may incur a delay. If your doctor of first choice is not available you will be offered an appointment with another doctor.

We operate a Triage System for Same Day appointment requests. If you ask to be seen today, our Practice Nurse or a GP will call you back to offer an appointment or advice as appropriate. The triage system means that if you have a clinical need to be seen today, there will always be an appointment available for you.

House Visits

We continue to provide House Visits during surgery opening hours to patients who are housebound or who are genuinely too ill to come in to the practice. This could mean that your GP of choice might not be available for in-surgery appointments at a particular time.

If you require a House Visit please call 01292 264051. Please provide the telephonist with as much information as possible. We appreciate that emergencies can occur at any time of the day but for non-urgent house visit requests please call before 10.00am to allow the GP to prioritise and plan their routes.

Patients who have a problem outwith the surgery opening hours that can’t wait until the surgery reopens should call NHS ADOC on 08454 24 24 24

FAILURE TO ATTEND
Approximately 140 appointments are wasted every month by patients who fail to attend for their appointments. If you find you are unable to attend your appointment please let us know as soon as possible to allow us to offer the appointment to another patient. This will help us provide a better service for all.

Patients who persistently fail to attend for booked appointments risk removal from our practice list.
