The purpose of the Group is to help the practice develop and improve the services we offer by representing the views of our patients. To do this the group need to hear from you, the patients.

Last Meeting Friday 11th April 2008

New GP Partner Dr Simon Farrell attended the Meeting and joined the discussions on various topics.

We talked about:

1. New PPG members
2. Election of new Office Bearers
3. New features on the Practice telephone system
4. Practice Leaflet
5. Aggression & Violence in Surgeries
6. Government proposals for Extended Hours in GP Surgeries

We sincerely thank Mr and Mrs Good for their input and help during the inaugural year of the PPG. Their decision to stand down from the group leaves us with two vacancies.

The PPG currently meets in the Practice for a couple of hours 3 or 4 times per year. The meetings are friendly and informal. If you have an interest in the development of your practice and can volunteer a couple of hours occasionally to join the group please contact the Business Manager. Our practice population is diverse and we would really like to have as many different groups as possible represented on the PPG. Your commitment need not be long term. We look forward to hearing from you.
